Usually, the culprit is a heating element that can’t keep its story straight—it blasts heat in the middle but leaves the edges cold. If you’re tired of tossing scrap, you don’t need more raw power. You need heat that actually spreads.
Getting the Heat Right
We built our replacement infrared lamps to solve that “center-heavy” heat problem. Cheap replacements tend to concentrate all their energy in one spot, which is how you get those annoying burn marks. By using a specific filament wind and high-purity quartz glass, we make sure the energy travels the full length of the tube. It’s a smoother, more even glow. Your tableware gets dried, not toasted.
The Nitty-Gritty
These aren’t flimsy bulbs. They’re built for the chaos of a professional bakery. We used reinforced quartz because we know these things get cycled on and off constantly, which can shock the glass. Plus, we tightened up the connector design. In a humid bakery, loose terminals lead to arcing, and arcing leads to a dead lamp. We fixed that. We have a few different wattages and voltages to fit whatever you’re already running. Just a heads-up: if you decide to jump to a higher wattage to speed things up, double-check your wiring and contactors first. You don’t want to trip a breaker mid-shift.
A Few Tips for the Install
Swapping these out is easy. Pull the old one, wire in the new one, and you’re back in business. But here is the most important part:Do not touch the glass with your bare hands. It sounds weird, but the oils from your skin create tiny stress points on the quartz. When the lamp heats up, those spots can crack. Use a clean cloth or gloves. Lastly, play around with your spacing. If the lamp is too close, you’ll scorch the plates. Too far, and you’ll be waiting forever for them to dry. Find that sweet spot where the temperature feels balanced, and you’ll be set.
