
On a blow molding line, heating drift doesn’t throw a red flag. It shows up as off-spec bottles, a spike in scrap, and a maintenance crew chasing temperature swings in the heating tunnel. When the lamps can’t hold setpoint, you lose cycles—and you lose faith in the line.
What matters, technically

Even a small offset changes the heating pattern and can drive thickness variation. Double-check that voltage and wattage match the socket and the control settings. Treat the quartz like what it is: hot, and fragile. Don’t touch the tube, clean it with something non-abrasive, and let it cool before you handle it. Match the lamp to the machine geometry, and you’re not just replacing a part—you’re restoring the heating profile.
