We built the Sidel SBO 6 heating lamp bulb to bring the heating profile back to what the machine was designed to run. What matters technically This is a short-wave infrared quartz emitter, engineered to match the Sidel SBO 6 blow molder’s heating architecture. It runs on the machine’s specified voltage and wattage, delivering fast, focused radiant heat that penetrates the PET preform wall quickly and consistently. The quartz tube holds stable output across repeated thermal cycles, and the R7s connector interface lines up with the OEM socket geometry so the lamp seats square and makes reliable contact. In practice, you can set the heating parameters once and expect repeatable results shift after shift. Why it works on an SBO 6 The SBO 6 depends on tight control of preform temperature before stretch blow molding.
