Giving Your Old Snack Machines a Second Life
Let’s be honest: old ovens eventually get tired. The heating elements wear down, and the heat they put out just doesn’t keep up with how fast you need to produce snacks these days. Most people try to fix this by throwing in some generic replacement lamps, but that usually just leaves you with cold spots and snacks that brown unevenly. It’s frustrating. We handle this differently. Instead of “off-the-shelf” parts, we build custom circular infrared heating tubes that fit exactly into the space you already have.
Getting the Heat Right
Here is the thing about infrared tubes: they don’t waste time heating up the air around the food. They send energy straight to the surface of the snack. When we tweak the wattage and voltage for you, we’re basically controlling how “intense” that heat is. If we pack more power into a shorter tube, you get a much faster sear and a better crunch (that Maillard reaction we all love). Just a heads-up, though—if you go for a big power boost, make sure your electrical panel can handle the extra draw so you aren’t tripping breakers mid-shift.
Built to Last (and Fit)
We use high-purity quartz glass for the tubes. Why? Because it can take a massive hit of heat without cracking. Depending on what you’re making, we can even add specialized coatings to the glass. Some coatings help the heat soak deeper into the product, while others keep it right on the surface for a quick crisp. And we know the last thing you want to do is spend your weekend rewiring a control panel. That’s why we build these as “drop-in” replacements. We’ll match your lead wire lengths and connectors exactly, so you can just plug them in and get back to work.
The Trade-off
These tubes can make an old machine feel brand new. You’ll notice the oven ramps up faster and the temperature stays where you want it. But there is a catch. When you crank up the heat density, your oven’s insulation has to work harder. If you push the wattage to the limit, the outside of the machine might get a bit warmer than usual. It’s a good idea to double-check your ventilation fans after you install them, just to keep your electronics cool and happy.
